CrowdStrike launches AI kill switch to shut down rogue agents
CrowdStrike unveiled an AI Kill Switch in its Falcon Guardian platform at Fal.Con Europe in Barcelona, letting an authorized administrator stop a misbehaving AI agent, block it from relaunching and cut its enterprise network access, with every action logged. The first release works by having connected AI gateways cut the agent off from the models it relies on; direct termination on the endpoint is planned later. CrowdStrike also announced a Claude Cowork integration with Anthropic and deals to buy AI observability startup Fiddler and testing firm Dreadnode, which The Wall Street Journal valued at about $495 million combined.
