China's Iluvatar CoreX says its Tiangai 300 GPU matches Nvidia's H200
Shanghai-based, Hong Kong-listed chipmaker Iluvatar CoreX showed its Tiangai 300 GPU running live for the first time at a media day in Shanghai and claimed it matches Nvidia's H200, the most advanced Nvidia AI chip cleared for export to China. The company cited a third-party test putting the chip's per-card inference throughput at 1.05 times the H200's, plus 15% higher throughput running Z.ai's GLM-5.3 at 64K context, but it has not published the test method or workload conditions. It also said its IXL144 rack, which holds 144 GPUs, cuts the cost per million tokens by about 40% versus mainstream international systems, a figure based on its own calculations.
