Google unveils Gemini 4 Carbon, a cyber-focused frontier model, two weeks after Argon
Google announced Gemini 4 Carbon, which it calls its strongest model yet, just two weeks after releasing Gemini 4 Argon. Carbon ranks first on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0 with a score of 59 and posts leading cybersecurity results: 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching. It is not generally available. Google is taking part in the US government's voluntary pre-release testing process, is giving access this week to a subset of cyber defenders and will expand it through its Fairwind Program before a wider release. Introductory pricing matches Argon at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
