Anthropic spent $2.75M guarding Dario Amodei in 2025, more than four times his salary
Anthropic's IPO filing shows it spent $2.75 million on personal security for CEO Dario Amodei last year, more than four times his $654,167 base salary and over 15% of his $17.96 million total 2025 compensation. The company also spent $1.29 million on protection, home security and transportation for President Daniela Amodei, plus $97,055 on private-aircraft travel for Dario that it says his security program required. The S-1 says the board approved the enhanced measures after independent security studies, rising media attention and what it called bona fide, heightened security concerns.
