Elizabeth Warren demands answers from Anthropic on 'existential' risks before IPO
Sen. Elizabeth Warren sent Anthropic a four-page letter demanding 'exhaustive responses' by Nov. 3 about the existential and safety risks the company itself flagged in its IPO paperwork, plus details of its Amazon and Broadcom relationships and how it would justify a valuation that may approach $2 trillion, the Wall Street Journal reports. She wants answers before the IPO, which could raise up to $100 billion and could come as early as the week before Thanksgiving.
