xAI offers to buy Southaven, Mississippi homes if owners drop out of data center noise lawsuit

Real estate agents working for MZX Tech, a subsidiary of Elon Musk's xAI (now part of SpaceXAI), are offering to buy homes near its Southaven, Mississippi power plant in exchange for a release of claims in a class-action lawsuit over "near-constant" turbine noise and vibration, The Guardian reports. One resident said a realtor described a target of 418 homes, nearly all of the Colonial Hills neighborhood, with 18 owners already agreeing to sell, and several homes have already been purchased. A letter to residents says MZX denies the lawsuit's allegations; plaintiffs' lawyers say the offers are not a court-approved settlement.
