TeraWulf gets credit backstop from Google for Anthropic data-center project
TeraWulf said Wednesday it signed credit support agreements with Google to back debt financing for its Justified Data Campus in Hawesville, Kentucky, where Anthropic holds 20-year leases worth about $19 billion for roughly 401 MW of IT load. Under the deal, Google can pay rent and take over the leases if Anthropic defaults or becomes insolvent; the backstop ends once Anthropic holds investment-grade ratings for three months. TeraWulf also signed a definitive construction agreement with Fluor, with phased delivery from late 2027 through the second quarter of 2028.
