OpenAI says ChatGPT's search volume is now about 20% of Google's

ChatGPT consumer product lead Adam Fry said at an OpenAI press event that ChatGPT's volume of search-like queries is now roughly one-fifth of Google's, counting every question that sends ChatGPT to search the web. He didn't say which Google figure the comparison uses. Fry also said ChatGPT reached 1.2 billion weekly active users, adding about 200 million in the past two months, with roughly 250 million people a week using voice.
