OpenAI hires Uber president Jill Hazelbaker as chief corporate affairs officer

Jill Hazelbaker, Uber's president and chief corporate affairs officer, is joining OpenAI as chief corporate affairs officer, The Information first reported and OpenAI confirmed. She will lead global communications, reputation, corporate brand and positioning, social media and partnerships, reporting to president Greg Brockman, filling a post that has sat empty since the start of the year. A former McCain campaign spokesperson who previously led communications at Google and Snap, Hazelbaker spent a decade at Uber overseeing marketing, communications, policy and safety.
