Anthropic's amended IPO filing shows nearly $17 billion in Q3 revenue and $895 billion in compute commitments
Anthropic reported third-quarter revenue of about $16.96 billion, up roughly twelvefold from a year earlier and up from $11.56 billion in the second quarter, in an amended S-1 filed with the SEC on Monday. The Claude maker swung back to a $567 million operating loss after a $974 million operating profit in Q2, which it attributed mainly to $5 billion of pricier short-term compute and a $2 billion non-cash donation-matching charge; net loss was $23.3 billion. The filing also discloses about $895.4 billion in purchase and lease commitments, nearly all for compute and infrastructure, with roughly $448 billion due before the end of 2030. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley lead the offering, which is expected to list on the Nasdaq as ANT before Thanksgiving.
