OpenAI and Anthropic tell staff to hide company logos in public over spy and safety fears
OpenAI tells employees not to wear anything with its logo outside the office and trains them to watch for people offering cash, friendship or romance in exchange for inside information, the New York Post reports. Anthropic, which just filed for its IPO, has all but banned branded merch, reminds staff to conceal their badges when leaving the building and has reported people trying to photograph its offices. The precautions follow this month's FBI arrest of an OpenAI engineer accused of planting a listening device in an executive conference room.
