Anthropic and Hg to launch a European AI consultancy, FT reports

Anthropic has agreed to back a new independent European consultancy with London-based private equity firm Hg, its first such venture in Europe, the Financial Times reports, citing people familiar with the plans. The firm will embed AI engineers and consultants inside businesses, mainly B2B software companies and other white-collar industries, and work with Hg's portfolio companies. It is expected to launch by the end of 2026 with hubs in London and Berlin. Anthropic will fund its share from its own balance sheet, while Hg will invest through its funds, including the London-listed HgCapital Trust. The move puts Anthropic in more direct competition with Accenture and the Big Four.
