Meta released Muse Spark Open — an 816B-parameter sparse MoE (42B active per token, 1M context) built for agentic coding, which Meta calls the most capable US open-weight model to date. It is natively multimodal and the first in its class designed to run locally on Apple silicon via MLX across linked Mac Studios; weights are downloadable now.
