OpenAI now gets most of its sales from enterprises and could be ready to IPO in 2027, Brockman says
OpenAI president Greg Brockman said Wednesday at The Wall Street Journal's Tech Live conference in Napa, California, that the company now generates the majority of its revenue from enterprise sales. Asked on stage whether OpenAI will be ready for an IPO next year, he said, "I think so." Brockman said OpenAI has been ramping up business sales, including pushing its Codex agent, as it competes with Anthropic, which is likely to go public before year-end. Reuters reported the remarks.
