Anthropic opens research preview of Claude Duet, a proactive agent app built on Opus 5.5

Anthropic opened a waitlisted research preview of Claude Duet, a standalone app for iOS, Android and claude.ai in which Claude works as a proactive agent. Built around Claude Opus 5.5 and included in US Pro and Max plans, Duet sends a morning brief across a user's connected apps, messages them only when something needs attention, keeps working on delegated tasks in its own cloud computer, and asks for approval before sensitive actions such as sending messages or making payments. It carries over a user's Claude memory, skills and connectors, and arrives as OpenAI's Dots and Meta's Muse push always-on agents.
