ServiceNow makes its Arc enterprise AI agent generally available, with Nvidia OpenShell enforcing its guardrails
ServiceNow announced at Nvidia's GTC Berlin that Arc, a personal, long-running AI agent for everyday work across ServiceNow workflows, email, Teams and productivity tools, is now generally available. Arc can run inside Nvidia's OpenShell sandboxed runtime or on an employee's desktop, using local models on Nvidia RTX Spark for routine work and frontier models for harder tasks, while IT sets policies in ServiceNow's Control Tower that OpenShell enforces at runtime. The companies also said Nvidia OpenShell and BlueField DPUs will be able to read ServiceNow's AI Passport credentials to validate and revoke what agents are allowed to do.
