OpenAI brings its frontier models and Codex to rival Google Cloud

OpenAI will make its frontier models, including GPT-6 Astra, and its Codex coding agent available to Google Cloud customers through Model Garden and Google Cloud Marketplace, where buyers can use existing cloud spending commitments. The deal also brings OpenAI models to Google's Antigravity coding environment and Gemini Agent, with general availability planned in the coming weeks. It puts OpenAI on all three major U.S. clouds, following its AWS expansion after Microsoft's exclusive license ended earlier this year.
