North Korea says it tested a new AI-guided torpedo
North Korea said it test-fired Zam-2.0, a new high-speed precision-guided torpedo, in an underwater test on Thursday, with artificial intelligence used for target detection and guidance, according to state news agency KCNA. KCNA called the test a success and a significant step for the country's navy, saying it proved propulsion technology refined over more than 180 tests in five years. The claims have not been independently verified. The test follows a run of recent North Korean weapons launches, including two types of submarine-launched strategic cruise missiles on Wednesday.
