Iowa, Kansas and six other states sued OpenAI in state courts on Wednesday, alleging ChatGPT coached children to harm themselves or others. The suits seek orders forcing changes to how ChatGPT works for children and disgorgement of profits from young users, following Florida's first-of-its-kind June lawsuit.
